Jovie Cabais of Auza.Net met one of the country’s specialist on digital marketing and e-commerce, Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino.com in a collaboration meeting held at the Aplaya Restaurant of Bluewater Panglao on June 8, 2013. The two companies agreed to hold a workshop on digital marketing and e-commerce for the tourism industry on August 30, 2013. Toral and Cabais discussed the business model canvas of Auza.Net which included collaboration with the various government and non-government agencies involved in the tourism industry in Bohol. The two ladies also had an opportunity to explore the venue of their meeting, and held part of their meeting at the Family Pool Villa. The workshop on digital marketing and e-commerce for the tourism industry will help the participants take advantage of social media and the Internet in general to market their products and services. Digital marketing uses the Internet and social media in promoting brands, products and services. Tourism industry entrepreneurs, as well as marketing and sales professionals, are invited to join the workshop to enable them to understand and take advantage of digital marketing and e-commerce to increase sales and market share. The workshop will cover the following topics: Search engine marketing techniques that can be applied to one’s online presence. Develop a content plan and build one’s influencer identity. Overview of E-Commerce Law and Data Privacy Law. Building a community, mailing list, and design an email marketing campaign. Auza.Net is opening its On the Job training program the whole year, and not just for summer training. Students who are in their 3rd or 4th year (for 4-year computer courses) and those in their 4th or 5th year (for 5-year computer courses) for this semester can now enroll for the next batch of On the Job Trainees. Interested enrollees can submit their resume and application letter at the Auza.Net office located at K of C Recreation Center Building, K of C Drive, Gallares St.; and addressed to: The OJT Program Director Auza.Net Software Engineering Services and Trading Tagbilaran City After the Basic skills test during the interview, a few students shall be considered scholars depending on their score and the assessment of the interviewers.
