Digitalfilipino.com Holds Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Workshop for the Tourism Industry

Digitalfilipino.com, led by one of the country’s specialists in e-commerce Ms. Janette Toral, and Auza.Net will hold a workshop on digital marketing and e-commerce for the tourism industry on August 30, 2013 at the Auza.Net Conference Room at the K of C Recreation Center, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Digital marketing uses the Internet and social media in promoting brands, products and services. Tourism industry entrepreneurs, as well as marketing and sales professionals, are invited to join the workshop to enable them to understand and take advantage of digital marketing and e-commerce to increase sales and market share.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
Search engine marketing techniques that can be applied to one’s online presence.
Develop a content plan and build one’s influencer identity.
Overview of E-Commerce Law and Data Privacy Law.
Building a community, mailing list, and design an email marketing campaign.
Come up with a social media plan identifying suitable channels, content approach, and program metrics.
Manage customer reviews and social media feedback.

Workshop participants must bring their own laptops or mobile devices, as well as mobile broadband sticks to ensure they can access the Internet. WiFi is available at the venue but due to the number of expected participants, Internet connection may get congested.
Toral has authored and published e-commerce books in the year 2000 and 2004. The 2004 book included an online version. She is a Certified ScrumMaster and Scrum Product Owner (issued by Scrum Alliance, a global certification body).
Toral also published a blogging book and produced a video tutorial series in 2008. She also partnered with Ateneo De Manila University and eLearning Edge for the Digital Entrepreneur Program where her course Certified Blog and Social Media Entrepreneur Program is being offered.
