The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has recently announced that 947 out of 1,944 examinees passed the written phase of the Marine Deck Officers Licensure Examination for the various ranks given by the Board for Marine Deck Officers in Manila last February 2011. A total of 75 examinees have been exempted from taking the practical examinations as they opted to submit a Certificate of Training and Certificate of Assessment in the Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork (SSBT). Out of the many examiners, three Boholano hopefuls took home the bacon by landing in the top ten for the Officer – in- Charge examination with Edwin Tablon Sagaral placing first, Neil Dennis Saludes Jamero, 7th and Roldan Galon Bolongaita, 10th placer. Websites can provide free information and worldwide advertising for LGU’s. This is especially convenient for municipalities that have tourist spots to promote; not only will the website allow easier access to public information, it can also market the sights and sounds unique to the municipality. Auza.Net is now accepting applications for the Summer 2011 OJT Program until March 15, 2011. The company’s OJT program has been very successful with most of the OJTs landing jobs right after graduation. The program exposes the students to various technologies ranging from physical computer networks to plugin development for websites. All interested applicants should submit their application letter, resume and transcript of records if available. The successful OJT applicants will be assigned to web projects implementing an online store, an interactive map website for Bohol, online promotions, SEO and a lot more. In addition, they will also attend training programs on Linux, Website Development, Database and PHP Programming to be conducted by Auza.Net. These training programs are open to the public at very reasonable fees but the OJTs will be able to attend them for free.
